Kedoshim: The Journey Remembered

Greetings,

For those of you who have been waiting for an update from us on our book, have we got an update for you.

In our previous post "Thoughts and Progress" I mentioned we were still trying to find out some information about copyrighting. Please feel free the share what ever knowledge you may have on this subject as it will play a huge part in what we can actually post on this blog.

Recently, we have spent some time thinking about the direction God may be taking Kedoshim: The Untold Journey. I hope you will be pleased to know that at the moment we feel God is giving us a bigger story to tell than we could ever have dreamed of. With that in mind, I am excited to announce that we are turning our book into a series.

Our first three books have been outlined and I am currently working on the outline to a fourth installment. The draft for book one Kedoshim: The Journey Begins is just over halfway done and we are getting closer with every word that is written...

I can't wait to see what God does in the days ahead, but to give you all a little glimpse of the book here is a drafted portion of the prologue Kedoshim: The Journey Remembered.....

Nathaniel sat in front of a solitary window, his mind a swirling mixture of uncertainty and doubt. He held his staff in one hand and a quill in the other. As he searched the depths of his soul for a purpose in writing his memoirs, fresh rain began to fall outside the window.  This sound was a comfort to his troubled mind as he paused to watch it. It almost seemed as though this rain, like many before it, fell from the very heavens. If only this rain could flood his weary heart and clear his unsettled thoughts.  As he listened to the beat of each drop hit along the path he had traveled so often before, he could smell the indescribable beauty of the moment before him.  A moment that would remind him of days past, these were the days he often thought upon, the days his heart truly longed for...

Please feel free to share with us your thoughts on what you've seen and read today :-).

Blessings in Christ,

Thoughts and Progress

Hello,

For those of you that get our Newsletter when we send them out this is of no surprise to you, but I have decided to begin posting some of our thoughts on the book. I have received many requests to get more information on the book "Kedoshim: The Untold Journey".

When I last posted I requested information about copyrights and such and while we still have no idea about copyrights I will hopefully be posting some excerpts from the book for those that want to read them.

For today I thought I'd Explain the idea behind the book for you guys....

Our Story Follows parallel to the time line of the 5th book of the New Testament in the Bible, The Book of Acts. It is a Biblical Fiction Book that tells the story of Nathaniel, his brother Zadok, their sister Elena and the friends and loved one they meet along their journey to Kedoshim, the Hebrew word for 'Holy Ones'.

The idea behind the book is to create a story that documents the fictional Journey each of the main characters embark upon to find the true meaning behind having a relationship with Christ, becoming 'Holy Ones'.

Along the way, each character will meet well known biblical characters and through hearing what they teach and watching their experiences will be changed for ever.  They will also have their own unique experiences that will bring others to Christ and strengthen each other.

I hope that gives you all a little glimpse into the life of "Kedoshim: The Untold Journey"

As far as updating you guys on the progress of the book, I'm working on some re-writes and we have pondered thoughts of turning the book in to a trilogy as we have already outlined several chapters.

It is my intention to finish the book by the end of 2014, but as always I write as the Lord Directs. Thanks to those that have been praying for God to direct us in this endeavor over the past 4 years.

I know seems like 4 years is two long to write a book to some, but with a book like this, we need to make sure all our biblical and historical facts are correct and that God is truly the motivation behind what is being written.

Please continue to pray for God to guide our hearts and our hands :-).
Blessings in Christ,

M. E.
